Food producers convention

Agriculture Secretary Proceso J. Alcala encourages the members of the various irrigators’ group to come together and build a national network to establish a stronger sector towards the attainment of the goals of the government’s Food Staples Sufficiency Program during the 2-day National Convention Food Staples Producers held at the Manila Hotel on December 12 – 13, 2012.

 

The convention drew together members of irrigators’ association, small water impounding system associations, Pambansang Mannalon-Maguuma-Magbabaul-Magsasaka ng Pilipinas, Rural Improvement Club, 4H club, and Magsasaka Siyentista from all regions who came together and drafted their distinct roles and responsibilities in the achievement of national food security.
