DA conducts Program Implementation Assessment

As part of the strengthening process in the implementation of the 2015 programs and projects of the Department of Agriculture (DA), an action team from the DA-Central Office conducts an assessment of region 7’s physical and financial status of accomplishments.

The assessment reviewed the 1st semester accomplishments and identify issues and concerns encountered during the six months project implementation.

ASEC Ofelia Agawin, DA Assistant Secretary for Finance said there’s a need to assess, review and identify issues so that appropriate solutions will be recommended for the delivery of the projects.

Director Angel Enriquez, OIC-Regional Executive Director of DA-7, said the assessment is a positive move for the agency to fast track the implementation of all program interventions with barely five months left before the year ends. She said, there are bottlenecks encountered in the project implementation, however, we take these as challenges. At the end of everything, she said, the main role of the agency is to uplift the lives of the farmers. (RAFIS/C. Dela Victoria)
