National Rice Technology Forum

The 7th National Rice Technology Forum is now being held here today in Talibon, Bohol to showcase the different rice varieties of the various seed companies.

Part of the activity is a field tour in the 23 hectares rice demo farms. Talibon Mayor Restituto Auxtero said that Talibon' production yield is increasing, ranges now from 5 metric tons (MT) to 8 MT since farmers are now using hybrid rice. He encourages the rice farmers to use hybrid rice to increase their produxtion. This, he said will contribute in the increase of the over-all production yield of Bohol from 3.9 MT to 5MT.
