Zero Hunger Depicts Young Artists's Posters

Out of the 38 young artists from from the 14 divisions of the Department of Education in Central Visayas (DepEd 7), the artist from Bohol Province Division was adjudged as region 7's World Food Day (WFD) best poster.

Arvin Cabanday of Guindacpan Elementary School of Talibon, Bohol emerged as the champion in the WFD On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest held on Sept. 25, 2018 at Cebu Business Hotel. He received a personalized WFD gold medal, a cash prize of Php 3,000, a certificate of recognition and some items as tokens.

The regional best poster will be sent to DA-Central Office to vie in the nationa level poster judging on October 3, 2018.

Charish Yase of Subangdaku Elementary School in Mandaue City, Cebu (Mandaue Division) and Lyann Nicholas Husain of Malabuyoc Central Elementary School in Malabuyoc, Cebu (Cebu Province Division) landed in the second and third place best posters, respectively receiving silver and bronze gold medals, cash, and also tokens. Consolation prizes and tokens were also given to non winners.

All posters depict this year's theme "Our Actions is our future. A #ZeroHunger World by 2030 is Possible". They were rated base on originality, creativity, visual impact and relevance to the theme.
