PRDP groundbreaks longest FMR in Central Visayas

The concreting of the longest farm-to-market road (FMR) project in Central Visayas under the Department of Agriculture's Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) will now start its implementation with the recent groundbreaking ceremony held in Brgy. Hilaitan, Guihulngan, Negros Oriental.

The rehabilitation and improvement of the 18.5 kilometers road amounting to P 317 million traverses 3 barangays of Guihulngan, namely Hilaitan, Mani-ak, and Trinidad.

This long-awaited rehabilitation is seen to be the biggest solution that will improve the road network of the 3 mentioned barangays but also uplift the living conditions of the people, improve livelihood, liven up farming activities and even address the insurgency problem in the area.

The groundbreaking was attended by Governor Roel Degamo of Negros Oriental, DA-7 Regional Technical Director Marina Hermoso along with its partner implementing agencies.
