Public Consultation on the IRR of the RA 11321

A public consultation on the IRR of the Republic Act 11321 also known as Sagip Saka Act has been conducted to ease out its implementation.

The consultation aims to improve and assess the draft IRR to provide help to the farmers and fisherfolks in increasing farm income.

Senator Kiko Pangilinan the author of the law who attended the consultation, discussed some salient points of the act which will address the postharvest concerns, farmer's insurance, marketing and handling of products.

DA Central Office Agri-Business Division Chief Rowena Ginete said that this consultation aims to gather inputs from the affected stakeholders so that the implementation of the law will become more effective. "Let's help together to produce a good provisions for the farmers and fisherfolks", she added.

The activity was participated by around 200 individuals coming from farmers and fisherfolk groups, various government agencies and local government unit representatives of regions 6, 7 and 8.
