"When we become positive of ASF, what should we do?"

This was the question raised by Regional Executive Director Salvador D. Diputado, during the meeting with the Regional Advisory Committee on Animal Disease Control and Emergency (RAC-ADCE).

Diputado exhorted the members of the inter-agency committee and veterinarians to be proactive in dealing with the African Swine Fever (ASF). “We should have two teams to deal with the worst-case scenario, in case we will be positive of ASF. One of the team is ‘dirty team’ which is in charge of clearing, culling and burying, which paraphernalia should only be used once to prevent the spread of disease and the clean team in charge of the biosafety and security,” Diputado said.

The meeting was held in a hotel in Cebu City on November 22,2019.
