Bohol farmers receive another farm inputs, machinery

The Department of Agriculture (DA7) continued to deliver various farm inputs to the farmer beneficiaries of Bohol. This was shared by DA7 Regional Executive Director Atty. Salvador Diputado who personally conducted the distribution of these intervetions to the farmers last week.

Diputado mentioned that the interventions part of Secretary William Dar's plant, plant, plant program were delivered to the farmers of Lapacan Norte, Buenavista, Bohol through Mayor Dave Duallo and Bohol 2nd District Congressman Aris Aumentado.

He bared that the Buenavista farmers got a package consists of the 8 million diversion dam project, Transplanter (riding type) and Floating Tillers.

"This P8 million dam project will irrigate no less than 30 hectares of rice land, which is sufficient enough to increase our rice production in the service area," Diputado said.

Meanwhile, another pack of native chicken was given to the farmer-beneficiaries of Cancatac, Corella with Mayor Hilario Tocmo personally receiving the said intervention.

In the town of Valencia, farmers and the LGU officials were very delighted to receive and witness the blessing and turnover of the 4wheel-drive 90 HP tractor.

All these interventions are delivered to the farmer-beneficiaries to help and assist them increase their farm production and improve their livelihood.

Other provinces of Central Visayas also continue to receive their share of agricultural projects amid this health crisis.

The DA through Secretary William Dar is challenging all LGUs to increase at least 10 percent of its present food production.
