DA7 shares veggies to Carcar community pantry.

Assorted vegetables and spices were shared by the Department of Agriculture in Central Visayas (DA7) to the community pantry in Carcar City on April 27.

Agriculture Assistant Secretary for Agribusiness and Marketing Kristine Evangelista personally led the distribution of veggies in the said community pantry.

DA7 Regional Executive Director Atty. Salvador Diputado who assisted Asec Evangelista in the event said that the activity is in accord with the request of Secretary William Dar to the DA field offices to share produce to those in need of food through the bayanihan spirit especially during this COVID-19 pandemic.
Carcar City Mayor Mercy Apura expressed her gratitude to the DA for the said assistance.

The assorted vegetables were intended for the 280 frontliners (health care workers) of the Carcar City District Hospital.

The event coincided with the launching of the Malasakit Center in Carcar City.
