Courtesy call of Japanese Officials in data collection to ASec Diputado and RED Elumba

A team of Japanese officials leading in the data collection for the field survey for water resources development in Central Visayas paid a courtesy call to Assistant Secretary Salvador Diputado and Regional Executive Director Joel Elumba.

Tadahiro Fukuda, team leader; Kiyoshi Hirata in charge of hydrological analysis, and Chihiro Hiraoka, team operations support officer, laid down their itinerary which will involve site inspection in various locations in Cebu, Bohol, and Negros Oriental.

According to Fukuda, the purpose of the survey are to conduct a water balance analysis for the water resources in the region, to identify priority areas where water is expected to be less in the future, to formulate a water resources development and management plan in priority areas and to propose an effective priority project concept covering a wide area of development.
