In today’s management committee (mancom) meeting, a leap of 42.56 percent is noted ending the 2nd quarter financial performance compared to the first-quarter performance in 2022.

Based on the DA official report, the rice program registered a financial obligation of 97.03 percent for its quick response fund for typhoon Odette, intended for the distribution of seeds and fertilizers for affected farmers.

According to OIC-Regional Executive Director Joel Elumba, the DA-RFO7 was cited as having a greatly improved financial performance since the 1st quarter performance of 2022. The citation was revealed during the recent national man com meeting in Aklan.

One of the big contributors to the increased performance is the rice program which registered a financial obligation of 97.03 percent for its quick response fund for typhoon Odette, intended for the distribution of seeds and fertilizers for affected farmers.

Other banners which were observed to have a spike in fund utilization are the livestock, organic, and high-value programs.

RED Elumba said that the motivation for all actions of the DA is for the farmers-the unsung heroes. The man com meeting was held at the DA-RFO7 complex in Maguikay, Mandaue City, Cebu.
