DA7’s student-trainees cited for contribution to RSBSA

Student-trainees from Consolacion Community College, Cebu were cited for their contribution to the success in achieving the target for encoding farmers and fishers in the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA).

This, in today’s simple culmination program at the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 7 Complex, Mandaue City, Cebu.

Petronila Corpuz, OIC of the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Division (PMED), said with the DA, the students learn in a simulated training environment, while immensely helping the DA achieve the registration target.

It is noted that the students encoded 20, 160 farmers in the system, contributing to the overall performance of the region.

The DA guidelines stipulates that without farmers being registered under the RSBSA, they are not eligible to receive financial grants and assistance from the government.

The culmination activity was attended by the Novie Mangubat, dean for academic affairs and school computer studies and Marius Bustillo from the same school with the DA-PMED Chief Petronila Corpuz, Admin Chief Melquiades Ibarra, and Human Resource Officer Maria Isabel Martinez.
