Newly appointed and promoted employees take oath of office

Thirty five newly-hired and promoted employees of the Department of Agriculture-Central Visayas (DA7) took their oath of office before OIC-Regional Executive Director Joel Elumba today, July 7, 2022 in a hotel in Cebu City.

DA7's Regional Technical Directors Cirilo Namoc and Wilberto Castillo, division and section chiefs also witnessed the oathtaking. Also to witness was former regional director Jose Quitazol.

Elumba extended his congratulations and warm welcome to the newly appointed and promoted personnel of DA. In his message, he urged the employees to perform their tasks and work well in the performance of their duties and responsibilities.

"Now is the time for you to shine, show your talents and abilities and prove yourself that you deserved the job you are in. We need your support, now with the challenges that the DA is facing”, Elumba said.

Elumba shared 3 important pointers for the employees. First is to be happy with your job, and your work will turn smoothly; second, be a teamplayer; and third, is to be always loyal to DA.

On the other hand, Namoc welcomed the newly appointed employees to the DA family, while those promoted were encouraged to keep doing their jobs and responsibilities to the best of their abilities.

Castillo, who is the chairperson of the Promotion and Selection Board (PSB), congratulated the hired employees as they emerged as the chosen few among those who applied for the positions. "Responsibilities are now in you, make good and be the best you can be", Castillo said.

The oathtaking was held after the 2022 DA7 Mid-Year Assessment.
