LGU-Jagna receives P 2.5-million for livestock-based enterprise livelihood projects
The Department of Agriculture-Central Visayas (DA7) turned over a check of P 2.5-million to the Local Government Unit of Jagna, Bohol (LGU-Jagna) for the establishment of a Livestock-based Enterprise Livelihood Projects.
DA-7 OIC-Regional Director Joel Elumba, personally handed the check to Municipal Administrator Gina Ranan, Treasurer Raymond Cuadra and Agriculture Officer Wendy Galero, representing Mayor Joseph Rañola.
Dr. Zeam Voltaire Amper, regional livestock focal person, said the fund will be used for the free-range chicken project, which include
some 2,000 chickens, free range nets, sakolin, egg incubator, pelletizer machine, corn cracker, feeds and vitamins.
The LGU, Amper said, will distribute the said projects to the identified farmer cooperatives and asssociation (FCA).
