Some officers of the Regional Agriculture and Fishery Council-7 (RAFC 7) and civil society organizations (CSOs) attended the 2-day Stakeholders Consultation for the FY 2024 Plan and Budget Proposal Preparation on February 16-17, 2023 in a hotel in Cebu City , spearheaded by the Department of Agriculture-Central Visayas (DA7) though the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Division (PMED).
Participating CSOs were grouped into cereals (grains), high value crops, livestock, and other commodities/programs like SAAD/Organic, for them to provide necessary recommendations and proposed interventions based on their identified issues and concerns besetting the agri commodities.
The consultation is part of the issued guidelines of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) on the preparation of plans and budget for transparency, accountability and citizens’ participation. Proposed plan should be anchored on Ambisyon Nation 2040, Sustainable Development Goals (SGD) and the 8-Point Agenda of the administration.
