Agriculture stakeholders from the four provinces of Central Visayas (CV) attended a two-day consultation for the formulation of the FY 2024 Plan and Budget Proposal of the Department of Agriculture-Central Visayas (DA7), started today until tomorrow (February 22-23, 2023), in a hotel in Cebu City. The consultation engaged the municipal agriculturists, agricultural extension workers (AEW) and farmer leaders from Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental and Siquijor as well as the Regional Agriculture and Fishery Council (RAFC) in the crafting of a responsive plan and budget that will help address the needs of the agri and fishery sectors by identifying appropriate interventions.
Planning and Monitoring Evaluation Division (PMED) head Elvin Milleza presented the Ambisyon Natin 2040, 8-Point Socio-economic Agenda and the Thrusts and Strategic Agenda of DA, which will serve as basis in the 2024 proposals.
Members of the Regional Management Committee (RMC) were also present to share their respective plans and activities as well as answer queries from the stakeholders.
