The MSRIP will irrigate 1,200 hectares and benefit 600 farm-families in Flora, Apayao. It will be undertaken by the Department of Agriculture through the National Irrigation Administration (NIA). Secretary Alcala said the MSRIP and other irrigation projects in Apayao will further solidify its distinction as a rice surplus producer in the Cordilleras, and a supplier of fancy, aromatic and upland rice varieties for domestic and export markets.
