DA Chief leads groundbreaking of new Fisheries Building Complex

Agriculture Secretary Proceso J. Alcala (left) leads the groundbreaking of a P200-million DA Fisheries Building Complex, on July 6, as part of the 65th anniversary celebration of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), at the Bureau of Plant Industry compound, Visayas Avenue, Quezon City. 

The complex will feature three four-storey buildings — one each for the DA-BFAR, Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA), and National Fisheries Research and Development Institute (NFRDI) — and a two-storey fishery laboratory building.
