DA allots P5-M agri projects, facilities in Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya

Agriculture Secretary Proceso J. Alcala (left, top photo) assures farmers and local government officials of Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya that the Aquino government through the Department of Agriculture will provide them with needed support to develop its potentials as a major producer of upland or ‘chop suey vegetables and other high value crops. He made the commitment during an ‘Agri-Pinoy farmers’ forum,’ August 7, 2012, in Barangay Besong, in Kayapa, attended by about 1,000 farmers and ruralfolk, where he handed over P5-M worth of farm equipment and inputs to farmers’ groups and local officials, and inaugurated two agricultural tramlines, vegetable packaging house, multi purpose drying pavement, greenhouse and a techno-demo farm.
